Every year, private companies and foundations commit themselves to incorporate into their collections works from among those exhibited in the participating galleries.

The Acquisitions Program contributes to energize the art market and therefore the relationship between collectors and galleries, essential agents for the promotion of artists.

In its 5th edition, the Acquisitions Program has once again counted on the participation of the Fundació Vila Casas, an institution dedicated to contemporary Catalan art that has remained faithful to this initiative since the first edition; and the Manuel Expósito - VisualSign Collection, an eclectic journey through artists from the 1950s to the present day that began in 1995 and is complemented with works of pop art, street art, hyperrealism and conceptualism with a critical character, currently betting on young national artists.

Piramidón Centre d'Art Contemporani, a hybrid space between a creative factory and an exhibition space, has also been incorporated. Its commitment to BGW2021 involves a residency award for the artist Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe and the incorporation of his work in the Piramidón Art Collection, formed from the relationship established with the artists who occupy the center's studios.

The three entities have freely chosen the works, without limitation of value and in direct relationship with the galleries.
