Since 2017, Barcelona Gallery Weekend presents an Acquisitions Programme intended for foundations and private companies that commit to incorporate to their collections works from the participating galleries.

The 7th edition of Acquisitions programme once again featured the participation of Fundació Vila Casas, a non-profit institution founded by Antoni Vila Casas in 1986 to promote Catalan contemporary art, which runs four exhibition spaces and remains faithful to this initiative since its creation.

Blueproject Foundation, a contemporary art foundation whose main objective is to offer a respectful and diverse view of international contemporary artistic creation, rejoined the programme in 2023, as well as Sircle Collection, which has in Sir Victor one of its most emblematic hotels, a true cultural destination in itself. The hotel is a true reflection of the city's vibrant and creative spirit, with a distinguished collection of artwork by local artists decorating every corner of the establishment. Sir Victor is a meeting place for visitors and locals who love art and design, a fundamental element of its DNA.

The participating institutions have freely chosen the artworks without limitation of value and in direct relation with the galleries.
