Dilalica are artists and curators who invite other artists to participate in original projects. The name Dilalica was generated by a computer program that randomly combined syllables frequently used in Spanish - a language that is written phonetically. The gallery openened in Barcelona in March 2019

'A Corner in Wheat' proposes a dialogue between Beatriz Olabarrieta (Bilbao, Spain, 1979; lives between Berlin and Barcelona) and Mario Santamaría (Burgos, 1985; lives in Barcelona) based on different interventions in the space, taking its singular architecture and traces such as the old walls, the marks on the floor of a mezzanine that is no longer there, perforations from past exhibitions, etc. Their proposal proposes cuts and displacements of elements, whose recompositions and material traces generate moments of bewilderment in the space. These operations delve into a logic of disarticulation and rearticulation under a new form, inviting us to think about how they affect the bodies that inhabit these spaces.
Mario Santamaría (Burgos, Spain, 1985; lives and works in Barcelona) ) is an artist whose work has been exhibited at La Panera, àngels barcelona, Aksioma, Württ. Kunstverein Stuttgart and Arebyte, among others. He has participated in group exhibitions, such as "Songs of the Sky. Photography & the Cloud", C/O Berlin (2022); "Writing the History of the Future", ZKM Karlsruhe (2021); "Infosphere", CENART Mexico (2017); "Species of Spaces". MACBA (2015). Santamaría is a university lecturer at BAU and Elisava, Barcelona, he has also been visiting professor at universities such as Trinity College Dublin, Universität Bremen, ISIA Urbino and UC Berkeley. Santamaría received the Award Obra Miquel Casablancas (2020), finalist of the Post-Photography prize of Fotomuseum Winterthur (2016) and has been resident at Sarai Nueva, Delhi (2012); Hangar, Barcelona (2014-2015) and HISK, Ghent (2016).
