About Gallery

àngels barcelona was created in 2007 as a result of the experience gained with the Galeria Dels Àngels (1995 - 2007).

Located in Barcelona's Raval district, àngels barcelona operates as a platform for contemporary artistic manifestations, with the aim of transcending disciplines and promoting critical thinking by developing a programme that brings together collaborations with artists, curators and other cultural agents at a local and international level. The gallery is a space where historical, social, political and media discourses are rethought. àngels barcelona builds, promotes and explores new cultural bridges, as well as experimental artistic practices.

Expo Interior Landscape with Marina

From Thu. 17th to Sat. 19th Sept. / 10 am - 8 pm
Sun. 20th Sept. / 10 am - 3 pm

"Interior Landscape with Marina" is made in collaboration with the architect Mirko Mejetta. It examines the space in which we find images and the way in which we do so, thereby seeking to reactivate the sensory channels to which cinema is directed by treating the apparatus as a whole. Eye / ear, word / image, body / space, the viewer's behavior as content integrated within the film. The value of touch, taste and its subversive interdependence. The senses are translated into each other with the desire to eroticize culture through art.

Mabel Palacín

The work of Mabel Palacín (born 1965, Barcelona) is a constant investigation about images. The subject of her work is photography considered in all its mutations, including cinema, video and its digital variants. She considers images as theoretical agents capable of developing models from which to understand and expand the contemporary visual landscape.
