Francesca Llopis Planas, (Barcelona, 1956), is a visual artist, specialized in painting and video art. Trained at EINA school, her career began in the 1980s with architecture and the influences of Abstract Expressionism and Neo-Expressionism. She has developed her artistic activity in Barcelona, France, Italy, Japan and Korea. Her works focus on her travels and nature. 

She has participated in solo and group exhibitions for more than 40 years, has produced interventions in public spaces and, recently, she has created installations at the "Llum" festival, the "Big Draw" festival at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona and at the MNAC, among others. The artist's work is preserved at the MACBA, the Museu de Terrassa, the Museu d’Art de Sabadell (MAS) and the Museu d’Art Modern de Tarragona (MAMT).

Jaume Plensa (Barcelona, 1955), ) is internationally recognized as one of today’s leading contemporary sculptors. He is also designer and engraver, who has also created opera sets, video projections and acoustic installations. 

Over the past 35 years, he has created sculptures and installations that unify individuals through connections of spirituality, the body, and collective memory. Literature, psychology, biology, language, and history have been key guiding elements throughout his career. Using a wide range of materials including steel, cast iron, resin, paraffin wax, glass, light, water, and sound, Plensa lends physical weight and volume to components of the human condition and the ephemeral. Plensa’s practice is an ongoing pursuit to evoke the beauty in simplicity. 

He has a long career with public-facing artworks all over the world, which originates from his belief in the ability of art in public spaces to create inclusive and transformative experiences.

Joan Gelabert (Mataró, 1954) also known as Dalí Junior, is an artist and musician, as well as defining himself as a sorcerer, astrologist and ufologist. All these aspects converge in his apocalyptic paintings, which show a world destroyed by UFOs. From the end of the 1970s, his unclassifiable style, between atomic pop and naïf chic and sci-fi, has been displayed in various group exhibitions and on stage with his group Los Berberechos Blues, but Gelabert chose to leave the commercial circuit and transform his residence into a house-museum.

The MACBA recently included his work in the exhibition “Hard Gelatin” (2016), a critical review of art from the 1980s, and in 2018 the museum Mataró Art Contemporani dedicated a solo exhibition to him.

José Pérez Ocaña (Cantillana, 1947 - Seville, 1983), better known as ‘‘la Ocaña’’, was an artist, performer and activist for LGTBI+ rights.

In 1971 he moved to Barcelona, where he worked as a decorative painter to survive and developed his artistic life. Ocaña was one of the main figures of the Barcelona counterculture movement in the 1970s. 
He used his symbolic representations of the body to provoke, and at the same time to naturalize, making them visible in the public space, a set of popular and collective performative practices of gender and sexual disobedience. His great popularity continues to conceal his work as an artist, an original practice which announced —30 years in advance— an exemplary model of creating art for the 21st century.

Ocaña incorporated numerous elements of Andalusian popular religiosity into his aesthetics, resignifying them as countercultural elements and giving them centrality in his works and also in his exhibitions. In cinema, he starred in Ocaña, retrato intermitente (1978), directed by Ventura Pons; in the film Manderley (1981), directed by Jesús Garay, and in the short film Silencis (1982), among others.

Josep Uclés i Cifuentes (Badalona, 1952 – La Roca del Vallès, 2013) was a representative artist of European Neofigurism (or New Figuration). His art started out as dark, mysterious and with transgressive social criticism, but evolved towards subtle irony, being more colourist and poetic, while the human being continued to be the motivating force. 

It is worth mentioning his participation in historical group exhibitions such as "Seny i Rauxa" (1978) at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and "Europa '79" in Stuttgart, an exhibition that signalled a rupture from the progressive sentiment of the history of art and the imposition of the individual’s value over the trend. He also participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy, France, Belgium, the USA, Germany and Spain.

Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca (Moià, 1959) is known for his performances and robotic installations. He was co-founder of La Fura dels Baus and the group’s artistic coordinator. His creative universe is based on an interest in comics, Art Brut, the avant-gardes of the 1960s, popular traditions and eco-agriculture; a cosmos that he completes with his penchant for aspects of the human condition such as food, sex and death. Antúnez's work has the body and drawing as its central elements; he moves in the sphere of installation and performance art, and has been immersed in the collective, digital technology and collaborative procedures. 

His actions, installations, drawings and videos have been presented in numerous museums, festivals and theatres around the world. He has also received prestigious awards and distinctions.

Martina Pla (Barcelona, 1962), whose father was a designer and painter, and whose mother was a painter, is a creator of clothing and a fortune teller. She works on the spontaneous drawing of the subconscious, inseparable from her intense biography and from her surrounding landscape. 

From the end of 1970 to the end of 1990, her work was displayed in various group exhibitions and she collaborated with the galleries Fernando Alcolea and Sala Parés. Starting from 2000, she distanced herself from the world of exhibitions and devoted herself to transforming her previous painted work to oil, deconstructing it to reconstruct it, creating compositional synergies in exhibition spaces. In this respect, in 2022 she presented the project “biology of the landscape”, in which nature and the environment are stimuli for pictorial creation.

Miquel Barceló Artigues (Felanich, Balearic Islands,1957) is a painter and sculptor. From the very beginning in the late 1970s, he joined the Expressionist current of reviving painting, to which he gave an unmistakable stamp of the Mediterranean. His first mature works focused on the intimacy of the artist and the act of painting. His participation in the São Paulo Biennial (1981) and in the Documenta VII in Kassel (1982) made him one of the greatest revelations of Spanish art in the 1980s. 

The Mediterranean and Africa have been two of his most important references, always reflecting a great concern for nature, the passage of time and origins. Barceló extended his thematic field to still life, landscapes saturated with terrestrial and maritime flora and fauna. At the same time, he produced images in libraries and museums, in which he expressed his interest in the history of painting. He produces both sculptural and ceramic works. His drawings, organized as travel diaries, in which he makes a parallel exploration of the territory and materials of painting are especially important.

Perejaume (Sant Pol de Mar, 1957) started to exhibit his work during the late 1970s, a period in which the influence of the historical avant-gardes stands out. His interest in painting has transcended its merely pictorial character, his poetic work being of equal or greater importance than the former.

The landscape is a recurring subject in his work, retaking and re-evaluating its presence in literary and pictorial production. Through this approach, his relationship with the landscape is examined from diverse points of view not without irony and shaped through painting, sculpture, photography, installations, video or intervention on the natural environment itself. For the artist, man is part of the landscape; he is yet another agent in its formation and evolution.

Ramiro Fernández (Sabadell, Barcelona, 1961) is a Spanish painter and engraver. He has also illustrated text books, designed posters and produced artist’s books. His works have romantic roots and reproduce calm scenes containing dogs, trees, tigers, birds, steamships, etc., offering a narration with short brushstrokes and restrained colours, with a relaxed perspective and proportions. His landscapes show metaphorical images and take the viewer on a journey to discover distant or unexplored lands.

Over his career he has received several awards and held numerous exhibitions. His work is part of the collection of the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) in Madrid, the Fundació La Caixa and the Fundació Vila Casas in Barcelona and the Albertina Museum in Vienna, among others.

Ramon Puiggené (Barcelona, 1958) studied photography at the Escola Richter-Elisava (1969-72) and graduated in History of Art. He has been a teacher at the Elisava School of Design and has also worked in the world of communication, industrial photography, nature photography and portraiture, the organization of documentary collections and industrial archaeology. He has been dedicated to photography for almost 60 years, which interests him above all to obtain a graphic vision, to capture what causes a visual impact. It is the closest photography to that of a designer, the combination of lights and colours through the lens of the camera. Throughout his career, he has developed, among others, the technique that consists of giving colour, with anilines, to black and white photographs.

He has held about 20 exhibitions. His photographs are in national and international collections and publications.
