Acquisitions Programme 2024: Fundació Vila Casas
It is a pleasure to announce that the Fundació Vila Casas, participating in the Acquisitions Programme 2024, is incorporating the artwork Zuulm (2004), by the artist Lara Fluxà, into its collection. The piece is part of ‘Firefly’, the exhibition that the artist is presenting at Bombon Projects gallery this Barcelona Gallery Weekend until October 31st.
'Firefly' is an electrified unit, an electric current to interrupt and approach to touch and submit the gesture. An open channel to sustain electricity. This exhibition is articulated as an electrified unit, an electric current that must be interrupted and approached to touch and submit the gesture.
Fundació Vila Casas, faithful to BGW Acquisitions Programme since its first edition in 2017, has confirmed its participation in the eighth edition of the programme. This non-profit institution was founded by Antoni Vila Casas (Barcelona, 1930-2023) in 1986 to promote Catalan contemporary art, and currently holds four exhibition spaces in Catalunya.
